#37: Advocating for Veterans with Sabrina Sweet

A U.S. Navy veteran, Sabrina Sweet served her country as a Navy Cryptologist before transitioning to a corporate career at a Fortune 500 company. Sabrina now advocates for veterans in two separate and unique roles, which guide veterans in their search for post-military careers and services.

Summary

Sabrina Sweet joined the US Navy after graduating from high school on advice from a friend. Without knowing exactly what she wanted to pursue in the Navy, she browsed the offered career opportunities and chose cryptology. 

Sabrina continues to proudly serve other veterans as a brand ambassador for United Way Broward’s MISSION UNITED as an Engagement Specialist. She currently works with community resource partners, employers and veterans to promote the services of MISSION UNITED in addition to promoting various events, educational & employment opportunities.

As a former Local Employment Representative for the state of Florida, Sabrina worked directly with local employers by building and leveraging strong relationships to advocate on behalf of veterans for employment, educational and training opportunities.
